ATTITUDE:   Settled Way of Thinking 31 of 65

I can see why Cheryle chose this word, as one access to happiness, out of the 65 cards in her Happiness Cards package (see below). Given I am writing these blogs from the context (read more here) of transformation (read more here), I can see that attitudes provide an excellent access to having a breakthrough, (read more here), especially if one’s attitude is not welcome to oneself.

I remember, during my Landmark Forum in 1993, there was a way we learned where we could GET OFF IT ( read more here ). If one has an attitude about anything in their life which holds them back, one simple tool is to discover the context of one’s attitude, and simply get off it!

I personally found this to be an extraordinary tool, especially when it comes to my stand (read more here) and commitment (read more here) to cause WORLD PEACE BY TUESDAY 15 SEPTEMBER 2020.

Whenever I notice my attitude towards someone’s action, as the person being “bad and wrong”, I will stop and reflect.

  • What position am I taking?
  • Why did the person do what they did?
  • How come I have an opinion about this action?
  • Am I being right with the person’s action in any way?

Combine this monologue (versus “being in DIALOGUE” as an access to transformation; learned from the Wisdom Course) and what I learned in the Team Management and Leadership program, I have an unofficial mantra that I use:

  • What can I give up to have Love Be Present?
  • In this case, I would substitute Love for Peace.

What this has allowed for me is the ability to transform or honour my attitude at one time of my life.

ATTITUDE: Feeling about Something

Aah, to review my feelings is an ongoing process, as I can see I have transformed many of my feelings about myself, friends, my community, my country and the world.

Where once I was uncertain, slow and confused about much of my life, I can thank Landmark for teaching me powerful tools and practices that impacts my life on a daily basis.

Embracing ongoing growth and development, I discover new things about myself, especially where it comes to being confronted.

Saturday 1 February 2020

I have regularly running national flags around my community of Ocean Shores, Australia (4000 homes) ,together with a bright fluorescent yellow cape displaying the World Peace by 2020 logo and speech marks saying;

  • Pass It On!
  • You’re It!

On this particular day, my friend Cassandra gave me a large colourful silk flag with a love heart in the middle and rainbow coloured  surrounds of the shape, making a flag that had a feeling of being truly ‘hippie!’

My attitude for this run was definitely joyful! as it was the first time for this flag and the day was a beautiful summers day.

My run consists of a hill start, along a road from sea level to 60 metres and then back down to sea level, going through a tropical paperbark rainforest, and then cutting back along the white sandy beaches of Ocean Shores.

During this particular run, I showed the Peace sign with my fingers to most of the cars driving by and, more often than not, the sign was ‘mirrored’ by the drivers and passengers.  However, there was one car that reversed the sign as I hopped on by, which surprised me! In a split second, I did feel hurt and disappointment and yet, I broke into a smile, realising  that for some people, my outfit  and message could be viewed as:

  • Weird
  • Bold
  • Confronting
  • Hippie
  • Gay
  • Loud

and I could go on. The power was that I was able to distinguish my position around a V sign made at me, and get off it! Peace be with you all indeed!

WHAT TYPE OF ATTITUDE INSPIRES YOU?
