Challenge: A Call to Prove Something11 0f 65
I remember when I shared with a friend that I had participated in the Landmark Forum and the lady said: “That was brave of you!”
Reflecting now, I can see that undertaking any personal development is a CHALLENGE, as you are putting yourself ‘on the line’ for self-transformation. The first part is to reveal and discover who you have been being, (see ‘revealing’ syllabus). Once ‘enlightened’, one has access to all sorts of transformation, (see my unlovable story here).
I challenge myself often, as I find it a fantastic way of ‘generating’ (read more here) new ways of being, to address the challenge. Indeed, whenever I have taken a stand, for things that are important to me, the challenge that arises immediately is to notice all the things in my life that are not aligned with the stand. One of my most memorable challenges was when I had to address ‘gathered news television cameras’ and declare a ‘live failure’ for a gathering of fire breathers at the Sydney Harbour Bridge,(read more here).
Maybe one could say that life is a challenge, and it “seems endless” that one has to prove oneself to oneself and others. If one is not challenged, then maybe life occurs as ‘mundane’ and ‘boring’?
“Aaah, well maybe that’s how I like it!” I hear some of you cry! Relax. At the end of my Landmark Forum, I was invited TO CONSIDER that life is empty and meaningless and that it is empty and meaningless that it is empty and meaningless! How challenged was I? J
