PLEASURE: Feeling of Happy Satisfaction 51 of 65
“Pleasure” in the world of transformation (read more here ) can certainly be the result one can demonstrate after any personal development course. Given that this card is one of 65 happiness cards Cheryle Teni has chosen as an access to happiness, (see below), I can certainly assert there is a great access to pleasure after one participates in the Landmark Forum and yet the journey to pleasure is often quite the opposite!
As I sat through my Landmark Forum back in October 1993, and going through the syllabus ,lead by a Landmark Forum Leader , I certainly discovered for myself, many ways of being that I could say was not pleasing to me. I was arrogant, defensive, stubborn, secretive, numb for starters. What I was surprised by, was that these ways of being, were common to many of my fellow participants too and indeed, through one distinction called Rackets – a way of “doing” or “having” plus a persistent complaint. (read more here) , I realised that my righteousness is a common trait for most human beings!
Certainly, given Landmark Worldwide has developed all their courses from the context (read more here) of ontology; the study of human ‘BEING’, it is an excellent inquiry (read more here) into discovering what is the source of any of your ways of being:
Happy
Joyful
Playful
Sad
Concerned
Challenged
Worried
Confident
Pleased
Confused
And the list is long.
Furthermore, when I started inquiring into the sources of my upsets, I started to develop a mastery in my upsets! (see sources of upsets here)
“Get off it!” Was my common monologue!
