REFLECTION: Serious Thought 3 of 55
Bringing the world of transformation (read transformation blog here) to the word ‘reflection’, from these 55 “Medicine Wheel” cards lent to me by my lovely neighbour Cassandra, I know this is exactly what one engages with whenever one takes on any personal development. Consider there are never any surprises with how one operates, especially as much of what and how we act is based on THE PAST.
When I completed my first personal development course (Landmark Forum) back in October 1993 when I was 30 years old, (see QueensPeace.com/about ) I remember being embarrassed that I never really “reflected” on my life and why I operated and acted the way I did.
Whoa, to learn that 3 childhood moments had me BECOME a certain way was eye-opening and liberating. “Distinction based training” means that once you have distinguished something about yourself, you are always left with a choice.
Ever since then, I reflect often and bless the fact that I have learned how to master my upsets such that they don’t hang around for a long time!
Next time you get upset, reflect on which type(s) of reason(s) has you ‘BE UPSET’.
1. Thwarted Intention
2. Undelivered Communication
3. Unfulfilled Expectation
Once you have, and you have looked at THE COST of being upset:
- Happiness
- Joy
- Full Self Expression
- Health
- Vitality
- Peace of Mind
“BEING UPSET” is perhaps not worth it! PASS IT ON!
Reflecting on this year 2020 so far (today is April 28th 2020), with one of my values in life being the pursuit of World Peace, I assert that , thanks to this pandemic, the world will be much more OPEN to the possibility of World Peace on this planet, especially after the United Nation’s Antonio Guterres asked for a “Global Ceasefire” on March 23rd 2020.
In fact, having reflected on that “footage”, I put together a quick video through a TRENDING VIDEO EDITING platform called InVideo (click here for InVideo) which is easy to use and has an excellent library in their dashboard as follows:
- Media
- Music
- Text (changed for this clip)
- Stickers
- Effects (used smoke one here)
- Shapes
- Enhancers (used firework at the end)
- Uploads (used my logos here)
I joined them last week and wow, their attentive enthusiasm has been shown clearly by this “Indian based team” who have sent me emails from several departments for marketing, customer support and even “affiliate client building”.
Wonderfully simple to use, I put this together as MY FIRST GO!
With 51% of marketing professionals worldwide naming video as the type of content with the best return on investment, they grow revenue 49% faster than non-video users. From a consumers perspective, sixty-four percent make a purchase after watching branded social videos so “what are you waiting for….” (Pat Benatar- Invincible).
